A flower wall art canvas will add color to your home for spring and summer. Green-thumb challeged? This is the perfect garden-inspired craft for you! This will look great on a wall in your home as well as hanging on a wall in a covered outdoor room. It would be very easy to make a more dramatic look with a series of these—try 9 smaller square canvases, each with a different color story.
Flower Wall Supplies
- Moss mat (SuperMoss Instant Green Re-usable Moss Mat from JoAnn Fabric and Craft, 18 x 48 inches)
- Canvas (I used one sized 20 x 16 inches)
- Hot glue gun and glue
- Spring and summer artificial flowers (choose how many you want in whatever style you like!)
Step 1: Roll out the moss mat and place the canvase on top of it. Use scissors to cut 1/2 to 1 inch larger than the size of the canvas all the way around.
Step 2: Place canvas right side up. Lay moss mat on top of canvas right side up.
Step 3: Starting at one end of the canvas, put hot glue on canvas and then lay the moss mat on top, pressing down. Continue this all the way down the canvas.
Step 4: Turn over canvas and begin adding glue to the edges and folding the moss over the edges. Work quickly! The glue dries fast!
Step 5: Use scissors to cut the flower blossoms from their stems.
Step 6: Place the blossoms on the moss canvas in a pattern you like. Glue each blossom in place.
